Wat Phra Chetuphon is also known as Wat Pho. The official name is Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklararm Rajwaramahaviharn. This temple is famous for its huge 46 meter long reclining Buddha.

Take a regular ferry service, the Chao Phraya express river boat, from Central Peir on the Chao Phraya river (a short walk west from Saphan Taksin sky train station) up to Tha Tien peir. Walk out of the pier entrance onto Thai Wang Alley and continue over Maha Rat Road until you reach the northern entrance/exit. Alternatively, turn right at the main intersection into Maha Rat Road. Continue south to Chetuphon Road and turn left (east) until you reach the main southern entrance/exit. Open from 8:00am to 5:00 pm daily.

Dress modestly with skirts or shorts below the knee and no revealing front or back. Full length pants/trousers and sleeved tops are acceptable dress code.

Wat Pho also has a Thai Traditional Medical School and Thai Massage Service, a museum and many large Chedi.
